Map and local area:

Guia is a very pretty, small town located near Albufeira. It is famous for it's numerous chicken piri-piri restaurants. You can walk to Guia in about 5-10 minutes and it has everything you need including a pharmacy, daily market, bank, cafes and some small shops. The Algarve shopping centre is only 5 minutes by car and has a bowling alley, cinema, a food court and many larger shops including Zara and the Body Shop.

There are numerous beaches all within a 5 - 10 minute drive of the villa. We prefer Gale and Salgados. They are very clean with toilets and showers available. There are also some small cafes to get refreshments and watch the world go by. 

Albufeira with it's nightlife is a 10 minute drive away. It also has an old town and a new very colourful marina.

Salgados is the closest golf course to the villa but there are many others within easy reach.

There are many theme and water parks all along the Algarve and Guia being situated in the centre means nothing is too far away. 

• Aqualand at Alcantarilha is the closest water park and is about 10 minutes by car.
• Zoomarine is just on the outskirts of Guia and is only 5 minutes in the car. It has a number of shows including parrots and dolphins. Anyone over the age of 8 has an opportunity to swim with the dolphins. (Extra charge and pre-booking required)
• Krazyworld in Algoz is about 20 minutes away and has a small zoo with 2 mini golf courses.
• There are 2 additional water parks 20 minutes drive away.
